Around Al Reem Island

Al Reem Island is built around water: a million square feet of park along the shoreline, a swimmable beach, and mangrove channels you can paddle straight into. It is quieter than downtown, and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Saadiyat museums and the Yas Island parks are all an easy drive away.

On the island

Everything within walking or a few minutes' driving distance of the apartments.

  • Reem Central Park

    A million square feet of parkland along the water, with adventure trails, a skate park, a beach and a run of waterfront restaurants.

  • Mangrove kayaking

    Guided kayak tours launch from Reem Central Park into the mangrove channels — the easiest way to see the tidal coastline that shelters the city.

  • Reem Mall

    The island's big mall: a Carrefour for everyday shopping, and an indoor snow park.

  • Shams Boutik Mall

    The smaller, closer option — essentials, a bowling alley and an arcade.

  • Cove Beach, Makers District

    A golden-sand beach club at the island's western edge, with dining out over the water.

The next islands over, and the heart of the city.

  • Al Maryah Island

    About ten minutes away: The Galleria for luxury shopping, with the Four Seasons and Rosewood alongside it.

  • Corniche Beach

    The city's long public beach and promenade along the western shore, with swimming areas and cycle paths.

  • Qasr Al Watan

    The working presidential palace, open to visitors — the domed Great Hall and the vast library are the reason to go.

  • Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

    Abu Dhabi's defining building: white marble, reflecting pools and the world's largest hand-knotted carpet. Dress code applies and it is free to enter.

Saadiyat Cultural District

The museum quarter, and the reason a lot of people now come to Abu Dhabi at all.

  • Louvre Abu Dhabi

    Jean Nouvel's museum under a perforated dome that drops a "rain of light" onto the galleries below.

  • Zayed National Museum

    Opened in December 2025. Six permanent galleries and Al Masar Garden, a 600-metre outdoor gallery, tracing three hundred thousand years of settlement.

  • teamLab Phenomena

    An enormous interactive digital-art museum that opened in 2025 — rooms of light, water and air that respond as you move through them.

  • Guggenheim Abu Dhabi

    Frank Gehry's building opens on 11 December 2026. Worth timing a stay around.

Half an hour out, and a day each if you want them.

Getting around

Al Reem Island connects to the main island by bridge, and a car or taxi is the practical way to get around — most of the city's landmarks are fifteen to thirty minutes away. Zayed International Airport is roughly half an hour by road.
