The capital's luxury mall, one island over: 400-plus stores, around 100 restaurants and waterfront dining terraces. It stays open to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Eight kilometres of waterfront with separate cycle and pedestrian paths, and a two-kilometre Blue Flag beach. Free to walk the whole length; the gated beach sections charge a small entry fee.

Getting there
Al Reem Island connects to the main island by bridge; a car or taxi is the practical way to get around. Zayed International Airport is roughly half an hour by road.
