The Corniche is Abu Dhabi's waterfront promenade: a long sweep of landscaped seafront with a dedicated cycle track, shaded parks and a Blue Flag beach facing the Gulf. The skyline of the central business district rises directly behind it, so it doubles as the city's front door.

Corniche Beach
Two kilometres of Blue Flag sand with lifeguards, showers and loungers, split into gated family and singles sections plus free public stretches. Swimming stops at sunset; gates open from 7am.

An eight-kilometre landscaped waterfront with separate walking and cycling tracks, play areas and cafes, running the length of the island's north shore. Bike hire stations sit along the boardwalk.

Reconstructed pre-oil Emirati village on the Breakwater: souq, mosque, Bedouin camp and craftspeople working pottery, glass and weaving. Free to enter, facing the city skyline across the water.
