Notting Hill

Notting Hill is a fantastic location and a very desirable area in North West London.  It is famous for its eclectic mix of colourful independent shops, pubs, bars and cafes which are scattered throughout a maze of charming streets.

Notting Hill was the setting for the famous romantic comedy, Notting Hill, starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.  Much of the film was filmed on location and gives a sense of the quirky feel to the area.  It is also home to the Notting Hill Carnival which takes place every August Bank Holiday.  The streets are taken over by a huge and colourful parade of floats, people and calypso music.  The side streets are filled with market stalls selling all manner of things especially a wide range of delicious foods.  If you are planning on booking a Notting Hill serviced apartment during this time you do need to be aware that the area will be noisy and you should expect some disruption.

Portobello Market is another key part of the Notting Hill vibe.  Located towards the southern end of the road, it is one of the world’s largest antique markets with the main market days being Saturday and Sunday.  Whatever day you visit you won’t be short of second hand stalls, shops and bargains to be had.  It is also a great place to stop off for some food and refreshments at one of the many charming cafes, pubs and restaurants in the area.

Our Notting Hill serviced apartments are located in a new development right on Portobello Road itself.  From these modern Notting Hill serviced apartments you can be in some great locations in minutes.  Pizza East is just a short stroll away, as is the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, a must for anyone interested in marketing and branding!   Carry on down the Portobello Road and you will find yourself at the Gate Theatre and the Print Room.

If you want to go further afield then Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park tube stations are within easy reach and if you are travelling by car the Westway will easily connect you to the UKs road network.
